Currently there is one Two Meter repeater in the Henderson Area. This repeater Transmits on 146.780 MHz, and receives on 146.180 MHz,
with a PL tone of 131.8 Hz. This repeater is sponsored by the Henderson-Rusk County Rescue Unit, Inc. It is located at the city water
tower on Jola street. (That's the water tower near the Traffic Star). There are two antennas on this water tower. The taller of the two antennas
is the one used by the repeater. The Rescue Unit sponsored this repeater so there would be a local two meter repeater in the Henderson
area to be used by Rescue Unit Members, (who have an Amateur Radio License) during times of severe weather, or other emergencies.
Any licensed Amateur is invited and encouraged to use the repeater.

At some point in the near future, I will try to get some pictures of the equipment used at the repeater site, and a shot or two of the site itself.

ARRL If you are interested in other Amateur Radio sites, a very interesting one is CQ ETexas.
