Big Bend, Day Four
Big Bend State Park
This morning we got up and headed out South from Alpine for the Big Bend National Park area.
It got hot early and the country side was unusual to look at. Desert!!! Kind of pretty in a strange kind of way.
We made it down to Presidio and then made it over the pass along the Rio Grande. Stopped in Lajatus for a drink
and to cool off for a few minutes. Then we high tailed it for the Big Bend Park and a chance to wade in the river and
cool off a bit. We stopped in Terlingua for fuel and got to see the old lady on the burro ride up.
At least I think it was an old lady.
