On April 3 2003, Me Suzanne, Bob and Beverly set off for Fredericksburg, TX. and the VROC Hill Country Ride. It was rather windy that morning but the temperature was nice and we had a good ride down to the Hill Country.
These are some shots taken on Friday as we were riding the 3's, which are some Farm to Market roads through the hills South and West of Kerrville, TX. These are some nice roads with some mighty fine views. Reminded me a lot of Arkansas. Some really pretty creeks and river crossings on this route.
Above and below are some of the VROC group that we were riding with. To the right is a picture of one of the clear creeks we crossed over. Sure would be inviting on a warm July afternoon!
The picture to the right was taken at the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop. It was an interesting place. Small motorcycle shop and gift shop. Had cold drinks and covered tables that gives riders a place to take a break out of the sun. Looked like they were set up to have some nice parties also.

These pictures are of the VROC Dinner on Friday Night. Surprising how well the VROC crew cleans up...ha...

These pictures are of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club, "Freedom Ride" held in Fredericksburg on Saturday April 5. There were something like 123 bikes that showed up for the parade through downtown. Quite a show !
These shots were taken in Luckenbach. We spent several late afternoons here. Kind of relaxing after a hard day of scooter riding.

The intersection in Marble Falls where the accident happened. We were coming down the hill and slowing for the red light when the kid in the green truck shown below ran into the white truck and pushed it into the rear of our bike. Knocking us down and off the bike.
These three pictures show the damage to my bike and the two trucks that rear ended us in Marble Falls on Sunday Morning on our way home from the Hill Country ride. A real bummer way to end an otherwise great road trip.width="450">
